Exciting Opportunity: Band 6 Social Worker - Community Mental Health Team (West London)

We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Social Worker (Band 6)

Location: West London

Duration: Ongoing

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £27 per hour (umbrella)

What You'll Be Doing:

Join a dynamic Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in West London as a Band 6 Social Worker. In this vital role, you'll work closely with individuals with complex mental health needs to support recovery and stability within the community. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing a caseload of adults with mental health needs.
  2. Conducting assessments, care planning, and delivering recovery-oriented interventions.
  3. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies.
  4. Providing safeguarding interventions and comprehensive risk assessments.
  5. Supporting service users in accessing housing, benefits, and other social care support.
  6. Ensuring all work complies with current legislation and best practice guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A current and valid Social Work England registration.
  2. Experience working within a Community Mental Health setting.
  3. Strong assessment, safeguarding, and care coordination skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  6. A valid full UK driver's license (preferred but not essential).

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM. The contract is ongoing, with potential for extension depending on service needs and performance.
