In this vital role, you’ll work closely with support services to offer a holistic and cohesive approach.

Adults Social WorkerRole Overview
As part of this innovative service, you will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of adults with a Strength Based Approach. To work in a person-centred way, ensuring that individual dignity is maintained, cultural and communication needs are addressed and choices and aspirations are acknowledged and heard.

Adults Social WorkerKey Responsibilities
  • Conduct Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews
  • Respond to urgent referrals and safeguarding concerns
  • Developing and implementing person-centred support
  • Adopt a Strength Based Approach to care
  • To identify risk and/or investigate any incidence of potential abuse or neglect of vulnerable individuals
  • Collaborate with support services, health professionals, carers, and families
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensure legal compliance
  • To identify, attend and/ or chair meetings
  • Participate in duty rota and manage incoming cases
Adults Social Worker Requirements
  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years post-qualifying experience
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex caseloads
