Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel in West Oxfordshire is seeking a Locum Social Worker (Adult Social Care) to join a flexible, short-term placement. The post focuses on Care Act assessments, safeguarding and promoting independence within the community.

You will work within a collaborative team and respond to urgent needs on a duty rota, ensuring high standards of care while managing a diverse caseload during a 3-month locum assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Care Act assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored support plans.
• Support carers and promote the wellbeing and independence of adults within the community.
• Respond to urgent situations as part of a supportive duty rota, assessing needs and providing immediate assistance where required.
• Undertake safeguarding work to protect adults at risk, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
• Apply the principles of the Mental Capacity Act confidently, carrying out risk assessments and positive risk management to help individuals achieve their goals.
• Manage a diverse caseload, prioritising effectively to meet the varying needs of the adults you support.
