Job description

Social Worker - Adolescents & Youth Offending Service

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Adolescents & Youth Offending Team, based in Barking.

The salary for this full-time Social Worker role is up to £46,041 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assess and provide services to children and families in need, within relevant legal frameworks, under supervision.
  2. Conduct high-quality, analytical assessments within statutory timescales, addressing concerns and unmet needs.
  3. Ensure the child's voice is heard and recorded through reflective and analytical practice.
  4. Work within London Child Protection Procedures for children at risk or subject to protection plans.
  5. Support children and families alongside health, education, and targeted support colleagues to prevent statutory intervention.
  6. Promote timely permanency planning for children in care, following the Adoption Act.
  7. Maintain professional development according to the Professional Capabilities Framework and SWE registration requirements.
  8. Contribute to service planning, development, and quality assurance.
  9. Follow case recording guidance and keep line managers informed of caseload concerns.
Requirements:
  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
