Job description

Children’s Social Worker
Team: MASH
Location: Wakefield
Rate: £35
Details:
• Rate: £35 per hour (umbrella)
• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
• Location: Wakefield District Headquarters, Havertop Lane, Normanton, WF6 1FD
• Contract: Minimum 3 months
• Working Arrangement: 100% office-based

Role Requirements:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Social Worker with:

• A minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience
• Previous MASH experience clearly evidenced on the CV
Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to screen incoming referrals within the MASH
• Analyse information and make informed recommendations regarding appropriate levels of intervention and services

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
