Job description

About the Team

Our Family Help Team is a dynamic, supportive and welcoming service that works alongside children and families across the full continuum of need, from early targeted support and children in need through to child protection, court work and adoption. This breadth of practice offers a varied, challenging and highly rewarding career, providing practitioners with a wealth of opportunities to develop their skills, experience and professional expertise.

Warwickshire County Council,

What makes our service unique is our genuinely multidisciplinary approach. Our team brings together social workers, lead child protection practitioners, family practitioners, systemic consultants, domestic abuse practitioners, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), an Alcohol and Drugs Practitioner, and soon an NHS Nurse. By working together as one integrated team, we provide holistic support to families, reducing unnecessary transitions between services and ensuring children and families receive the right help at the right time.

Our practice is firmly rooted in restorative principles and relationship-based practice. We believe that lasting change happens when families are listened to, respected and empowered to build on their strengths. We work alongside children and families to understand their experiences, identify challenges, and develop meaningful plans that support sustainable positive outcomes. Every family's journey is unique, and our interventions are tailored to their individual circumstances, aspiration, needs as well as protection.

We are ambitious for children and families and equally committed to supporting our workforce. You will be joining a team that values reflection, learning and innovation, where professional curiosity is encouraged and achievements are celebrated. Through high-quality supervision, ongoing training and a strong culture of collaboration, we provide a nurturing environment where practitioners can develop confidence, enhance their skills and progress their careers.

If you are passionate about making a positive difference for children and families, enjoy building meaningful relationships, and want to work within a supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team, we would love to hear from you.

Join Nuneaton & Bedworth Family Help B, and help create lasting change through strong relationships, restorative practice and a shared commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for children and their families.

Our Offer to you includes:
  • Supportive managers who provide recognition and a robust supervision policy focussed on wellbeing and manageable workload.
  • Full reimbursement of Social Work England annual fee.
  • A Volunteering & Wellbeing Day in addition to generous annual leave and an additional day at Christmas.
  • We also offer a Refer a Friend package for some roles. Terms and Conditions apply.
  • Post AYSE Social Workers, there is a Market Supplement added to your salary.
  • Agile Working from Office and from home.
