Job Opportunity: Social Worker – Family Support Team

Salary: £38.00 per hour
Working Pattern: Full-time and part-time options available with flexible and hybrid working arrangements

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a forward-thinking team in the vibrant community of Milton Keynes. You will play a crucial role in supporting children and families through effective, meaningful interventions that create lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload of up to 19 children and young people across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children plans.

Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Children and Families, Risk, Parenting, and Sibling Assessments, to develop tailored care plans.

Represent the Local Authority in court, including the preparation of detailed court statements and the provision of key evidence.

Lead and participate in Child in Need and Core Group meetings, contributing to multidisciplinary assessments and planning.

Provide support to the team in fulfilling duty responsibilities, ensuring consistent high standards of service delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of two years’ post-qualifying experience or equivalent transferable expertise.

Demonstrated commitment to supporting children, young people, and families, with the resilience to navigate complex situations.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a focus on evidence-based practice.

Collaborative team player, keen to share knowledge and support the development of colleagues.

Full UK Driving Licence with business insurance, and willingness to use your vehicle for work-related travel, including outside standard hours if required.
