Main duties of the job

As a Social Worker, you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future. You will report to the Safeguarding Lead, manage internal investigations, and liaise with home authorities during admission and discharge processes. You will also have access to a range of training opportunities to support your career growth and aspirations.

Job responsibilities

Joining the multidisciplinary team at Middlewood Clinic, you will provide care for young adults with eating disorders, managing a complex caseload, conducting social care and risk assessments, facilitating group activities, and contributing to ICR meetings. You will report to the Safeguarding Lead, handle internal investigations, liaise with authorities, and participate in training to advance your career. Your role is vital in helping individuals lead independent and fulfilling lives, embodying the essence of quality healthcare.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Referrals to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding protocols
  • Educating hospital staff on safeguarding matters
  • Completing annual social care reassessments within the CPA framework
  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy, and support services
  • Participating in 1:1 supervision sessions
Qualifications for success

Location

Middlewood Clinic, Little Ashfield, Midhurst, GU29 9JP

The clinic is a new 12-bed inpatient unit for young adults aged 18-25, opening early 2024, located in the picturesque town of Midhurst. It offers a supportive environment for recovery and independence, with development opportunities and wellbeing support for staff.
