Job summary

Merton Council is seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join Locality Team 2 within Adult Social Care. You will work with adults with care and support needs, helping them maintain independence, stay safe and achieve positive outcomes.

The role involves completing strengths-based assessments, managing a varied caseload, safeguarding, and collaborating with families, carers and partner agencies to promote timely discharge and community-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified and registered Social Worker.
• Experience within Adult Social Care.
• Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding practice.
• Ability to manage complex cases and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
