We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Locum Social Worker to join the First Contact/Referral Team in Sutton. This full-time, ongoing position sits at the heart of the Children’s First Contact Service, where you’ll help process and assess referrals from multi-agency sources and the local community. With a competitive hourly rate of £35.53, this is a role where your skills will have a real impact.

What You Will Do

Assess and triage referrals within the Children’s First Contact Service for early intervention.

Liaise with multi-agency partners and community organisations to ensure appropriate responses.

Undertake initial assessments of children and families to determine immediate needs.

Deliver short-term crisis interventions and assist in managing urgent safeguarding concerns.

Prepare clear, concise records and reports in line with statutory guidelines.

Contribute to team discussions and ongoing service improvement initiatives.
