Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide direct work with children and families, conduct assessments, and lead safeguarding and court-related tasks. You will collaborate across agencies, build lasting relationships, and contribute to service development in a complex care landscape.

The role focuses on child-centred practice, mental capacity assessments, and supporting Children in Need and Care Leavers within a corporate parenting framework.

Qualifications

• Social Worker or Senior Social Worker experience/qualification suitable for children's social care.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and develop plans.

• Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Court of Protection work.
• Lead complex multi-agency planning and intervention.
• Build long-term relationships with children and families from birth to age 18, and up to 25 for care leavers.
• Work with consultants, psychiatrists, specialist nurses, children's hospices, community health services, tertiary healthcare providers and education settings.
• Collaborate within the corporate parenting network to support children in care transitioning into adulthood.
• Apply strengths-based, relationship-based and child-centred practice.
• Contribute to service development and the future of local government reorganisation.
