The Role:

As an experienced Social Worker within the Children's Assessment Service, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for the children and young people of East Riding. You will be instrumental in creating an environment that supports and enables relational practice, bringing creative and innovative ways of working. You will complete holistic assessments and collaborate with partner agencies and family networks, ensuring children and young people are at the heart of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building relationships and engaging with children and families.
  • Conducting assessments and evaluating the needs of children and their families.
  • Applying thresholds and knowledge of key policies, legislation and social care reform.
  • Maintaining timely and accurate records in accordance with practice standards.
  • Creating and implementing support plans based on the individual needs of children and families.
  • Regularly reviewing of plans to reflect any changes in the child's or family situation.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to understand the child's lived experience.
  • Advocating for children and families, ensuring their voice is heard and rights protected.
  • Prioritising work based on the needs and risks to children and young people.
  • Accountability and responsibility of work undertaken and engaging in regular reflective supervision.

These duties ensure the experienced social worker plays a crucial role in delivering high quality services and making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
