The Role:

Joining our Least Restrictive Practice Team as a qualified and experienced Social Worker, you’ll play an integral role in supporting adults with learning disabilities who are at risk of distress or presenting challenging behaviours. You’ll work in partnership with Behaviour Specialists to develop cross-agency solutions and manage complex care networks, to improve quality of life, by reducing distress and restrictions.

You'll thrive in a supportive team environment where sharing experiences and learning from each other is encouraged. You'll have opportunities to participate in group and individual reflective practice, allowing you to expand and develop your knowledge and expertise.

What you’ll do:
  • Engaging in comprehensive strength based and trauma informed assessments to understand peoples’ needs and the support available to them.
  • Managing a diverse caseload, providing supervision and guidance to Case Workers and Senior Case Workers and offering expert advice on complex cases.
  • Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary manner, effectively negotiating with individuals, their families, and other professionals to achieve positive results.
  • Triaging safeguarding referrals and making well-informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcome.
What we’re looking for:
  • Social Work qualification and registered with Social Work England (SWE).Due to the needs of the team, we’re unable to consider Newly Qualified Social Workers for this post.
  • A sound understanding of how to apply a strengths-based approach.
  • Understanding of social work issues, legal frameworks and social services’ statutory duties.
  • Commitment to demonstrating our values and behaviours, showing compassion, empathy and respect.

Your work-base will be the nearest available office to your home address, however countywide travel will be required.

Travel Requirements:
