This is an exciting opportunity to join the Children’s Services Disability team. The successful candidate will join a team comprising a team leader, 3 FTE social workers, 5 practitioners, and 2 development workers. This team supports children and their families affected by disability by undertaking assessments of need (Section 23) and creating and reviewing packages of care. Applicants should be able to work creatively and flexibly to meet needs and be passionate about supporting families with disabilities.

Knowledge
A degree in Social Work and registration with the SSSC as a Social Worker are essential. An equivalent Diploma in Social Work with SSSC registration or a Mental Health Officer qualification are also acceptable.
Mental Health Team
The essential qualifications for a Social Worker within the Mental Health Team are a degree in Social Work and registration with the SSSC. An equivalent Diploma in Social Work with SSSC registration or a Mental Health Officer qualification are also acceptable.

Please note that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Based on working 22 hours over 52 weeks, the minimum actual salary is £25,545.87 per annum.
