We are seeking a Social Worker with a range of skills and experience for a full-time, permanent position in our Thanet, South Kent Coast referrals team (Social Care Connect). The role offers a hybrid working model, combining office-based work and remote work to meet service needs.

Benefits include a £3000 Golden Hello payment for new joiners (subject to criteria) and ongoing service-related payments.

About Us:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our community teams across Kent, focusing on locality working practices that prioritize the individual and uphold good practice. We support adults with various care and support needs, emphasizing person-centered care. Responsibilities include Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Assessments, Court of Protection applications, and s42 safeguarding enquiries.

Our interventions are built around excellence in practice, innovation, and meaningful measures, fostering relationships with individuals, families, and carers. We engage early with communities to empower individuals to access trusted local support sources.

About You:

We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified Social Workers who meet current professional standards, legislative, and policy frameworks. Strong literacy and communication skills are essential.

We seek positive, forward-thinking individuals who practice strengths-based approaches aligned with clients' goals. Our teams are imaginative, locally focused, and flexible. We prefer registered practitioners with a collaborative mindset.

This role requires holding a Full UK Driving Licence. The Council is committed to reasonable adjustments; applications will be considered even if you are unable to drive due to a disability.

This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration with Social Work England. It is a customer-facing role, and candidates must demonstrate sufficient spoken English/Welsh skills as per Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
