Job summary

Community Care Live is seeking a Supervising Social Worker for their Independent Fostering Agency in Cardiff. You will supervise foster carers, complete assessments, and support children and young people to ensure safe, stable placements.

Strong safeguarding knowledge and post-qualification fostering experience are essential. You will work with birth families, professionals and external agencies to promote positive outcomes for children in care.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in fostering or looked after children services is advantageous.

About the team:

The Supervising Social Worker will work within an Independent Fostering Agency, supporting foster carers, children and young people to ensure safe, stable and positive placements are maintained. The team works closely with foster families, birth families, professionals and external agencies to complete assessments, provide supervision and support, monitor placement stability and promote positive outcomes for children in care. This is a varied role suited to a confident Children's Social Worker with strong safeguarding knowledge and experience within fostering or looked after children services.

About you:

A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 2-year experience is essential to be considered for this role. Experience working in a Fostering Service lends well to the success of this position.
