Social Worker

About your role:
An exciting opportunity to join British Gas Energy as a Social Worker.
This is a new role within our business, supporting vulnerable customers through our Vulnerable Customer Centre of Excellence — a team that will play a key role in assisting at-risk individuals across the UK.
Joining the UK’s largest gas supplier at this pivotal time, you’ll help customers when they need us most. This role offers a chance to make a real difference daily.
As part of the Centre of Excellence, you will develop and implement frameworks and strategies to better identify and support vulnerable customers. You’ll guide frontline teams — our “solvers” — to ensure each customer receives tailored support, compassion, and access to resources from British Gas Energy.

We seek an experienced, compassionate, and solutions-focused Social Worker with a genuine desire to impact lives positively.
You should have a proven track record in social work, demonstrating empathy, clarity, and calm communication skills, and confidence in handling sensitive conversations and identifying appropriate support solutions.
Digital confidence is essential — you should navigate internal systems securely and efficiently.
