Social Work Team Manager – Transitions Team

Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Transitions Team to work Full Time in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £59,328 per annum.

  • Manage and supervise a team of Social Workers, Social Work Students, and administrative staff, including recruitment, induction, development, and management of employee productivity and conduct.
  • Manage the workload of the team, ensuring robust care management, good practice in assessments, and timely case reviews, in line with statutory requirements and department policy.
  • Manage a commissioning budget by monitoring the cost of packages of care.
  • Support the Council in analyzing the team budget and identifying areas for financial efficiency.
  • Ensure innovative, cost-effective packages of care are provided, embedding the Strengths-based approach, and provide regular feedback to staff.
  • Contribute to service planning and development, working with health professionals to ensure seamless services for transitioning young people.
  • Ensure high-priority, high-quality care act assessments and young person/parent carer involvement.
  • Maintain accurate case file recording and young people's information on ICS and adults social care systems.
  • Identify staff training needs, ensuring high standards of professional practice through development and performance management.
  • Investigate complaints according to department procedures.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the line manager.

Requirements of this Team Manager role:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
