What you will do:

  • Manage the caseloads of six social workers, overseeing high standards in case records and quality assurance.
  • Promote ongoing professional development for staff through regular supervision and performance reviews.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance practice quality and drive improved service delivery.
  • Attend various meetings to ensure care planning and decisions are made in the best interest of children, such as childcare reviews and child protection conferences.
  • Utilise evidence-based practice to develop and implement quality standards ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Quality assures numerous reports and liaise with higher management on complex cases and team performance.
  • Lead, motivate, and nurture your team, ensuring effective service delivery and positive outcomes.
  • Attend Scrutiny Panel to discuss performance and contribute to strategic service improvements.

Requirements of the Team Manager:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Recent managerial experience working as a Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services at a managerial level.
