Semester Recruitment is partnering with Cheshire East Council to find an experienced Team Manager for the Children with Disabilities Hub.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled manager to lead a team supporting children with complex needs and to contribute to the ongoing development of a progressive, relationship-based service.
Role Overview:
- Lead and supervise up to 6 Family Support Workers, managing support packages for children with complex disabilities.
- Collaborate with a second Team Manager handling CIN, CP, and Care Proceedings.
- Provide operational oversight of all cases within the team.
- Responsible for performance management and quality assurance.
- Work closely with the Service Manager, parents/carers, and multi-agency partners to improve the Children with Disabilities Hub.
- Cover for the other Team Manager during leave periods.
- Promote a restorative, trauma-informed, and relationship-based practice.
Requirements:
- Experienced Team Manager or Senior Practitioner ready to step into a managerial role.
- Background in working with children with disabilities.
- Proven staff management, development, and practice leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of statutory processes and support frameworks for children with complex needs.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with professionals and families.
- Ability to work across Cheshire East; access to a vehicle is desirable.
- Commitment to a minimum of 3 days in the office per week (Macclesfield or Crewe).
Working Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm
- Hybrid working with strong office presence.
DBS Requirement:
- Enhanced DBS including barred list checks for Children.
