Overview
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position for a Team Manager within the Maya Angelou Service to work full time based in Haringey, London. The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £59,328 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Team and ensure the service provided is of the highest professional standards, responsive to legislative requirements and aligned with corporate and national priorities.
- Oversee all work, prioritise and allocate tasks promptly within available resources.
- Ensure high standards of recording keeping and ensure managerial decisions are recorded promptly within the appropriate frameworks.
- Chair a range of practice meetings, including strategy meetings, core group meetings, and monitor performance of agreed tasks for all participants.
- Provide regular, high quality, challenging and reflective supervision of staff within agreed timescales and policies.
- Evaluate staff performance, including probationary assessments, appraisals, sickness absence procedures and other relevant processes.
- Facilitate and direct collaboration with parents, carers, other professionals and partner agencies to secure the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Develop a service aligned with partnership models with other agencies and families to enable children to stay safely at home where possible.
- Work with managers across the Children and Young People’s Service to deliver a seamless and holistic response to needs.
- Implement the service Business Plan, ensuring team members understand their contributions and manage performance against objectives, targets and standards.
- Ensure all work activities adhere to Council policies (including Equalities) and uphold organisational values.
- Take the lead on defined areas of service, deputise for the line manager as needed, and inform senior managers of identified risks when necessary.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the service.
Requirements
- A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- Good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
