What you will do:

Conduct statutory assessments under Section 17 and Section 20 of the Children Act 1989 for young people aged 16-17.

Determine eligibility for 'child in need' and accommodation provisions under Section 20.

Provide young people with guidance on their rights and entitlements as looked-after children.

Identify and respond to safeguarding risks , creating and reviewing robust child in need or care plans .

Ensure young people's voices are central to care planning and decision-making processes.

Work closely with housing, education, health , and other key services to ensure holistic support.

Maintain detailed case records and ensure statutory compliance .

Promote access to advocacy services , upholding each young person's rights to care and support.
