Job Description:

An exciting job role has recently become available at the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Safeguarding Triage Team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels.
  • Manage time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs.
  • Support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager.
  • Participate in performance management activities such as supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews.
  • Follow departmental health and safety procedures.
  • Develop skills through work experience, including secondments, job rotation, and shadowing.
  • Contribute to information management processes.
  • Support social work students on placement, acting as a supervisor or Practice Teacher if trained.
  • Understand and implement key policies related to social care with children and families, focusing on multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
