Social Work – Assistant Team Manager, Leaving Care Team in Havering (UK), earning £41.10 Umbrella Hourly. Ongoing – 3 Months (with opportunity for extension). Hybrid

You’ll be a vital part of a committed team, working within a hybrid model that allows for flexibility and balance. This position is available for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extension.

What you will do:

– Lead and manage a team of dedicated social workers and support staff within the Leaving Care Team.
– Oversee complex casework with the assistance of the team’s two Advanced Practitioners.
– Develop and implement strategies to support young people transitioning from care, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.
– Facilitate regular team meetings and coordinate duty weeks at our town hall campus to encourage team cohesion and face-to-face interactions.
– Consult and collaborate with systemic practitioners to ensure the highest quality of care and innovative solutions for our care leavers.

Requirements:

– Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
– Minimum of two years’ experience as a social worker, with specific experience in children and families, including assessments and statutory duties.
