Job description

Our family and friends team is growing. We are looking for a highly experienced individual who is a fully qualified social worker to join us and work together in driving the service forward. The successful candidate will assess, supervise, and train our carers. The role involves using a range of systemic ideas, including promoting a practice philosophy that seeks to empower service users, build on individual strengths, and develop strategies to help them understand, manage, and respond to risk.

Minimum requirements:

  1. Qualified and registered Social Worker (SWE Registration required).
  2. Experience in assessments, supervising, and providing training for fostering carers.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative approach to conveying messages.
  4. Working knowledge of national policy and developments in children's social care, including relevant legislation, guidance, standards, and procedures.
  5. Ability to engage effectively with applicants, children, and families to achieve positive outcomes.
  6. Experience of conducting holistic, analytical, and evidence-based assessments.
  7. Experience working with foster carers or in assessment roles.
