Job summary

VolkerRail is seeking a proactive Social Value Coordinator to join the HSEQS team at the Doncaster Head Office. You will drive social value initiatives, engage with charities, schools and communities, and coordinate volunteering, education and fundraising activities across projects.

This role requires strong admin skills, excellent organisation and the ability to manage data and deliver impact stories. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy administrative environments.
• Strong organisational skills with multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication, with stakeholders including schools and charities.
• Experience maintaining databases, records and reporting information accurately.
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and delivering social value activities including volunteering and community initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate social value records, trackers and reporting systems.
• Producing reports, case studies and impact stories showcasing project impact.
• Administering employee volunteering programmes, placements and fundraising activities.
• Building relationships with charities, schools, community organisations and external stakeholders.
• Supporting the Education Ambassador programme, onboarding and events planning.
• Delivering educational engagement activities at schools and events to inspire future talent.
• Developing internal communications and promotional campaigns to boost participation.
• Managing social value enquiries and ensuring timely, professional responses.
• Assisting with safeguarding compliance and reporting standards across activities.
