Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Advisory Consultant (Social Value) to join the Economics & Economics Development team within Buildings and Places. The role spans social value delivery across major infrastructure projects, with the responsibility to monitor performance and report to clients.

You will engage with partners and stakeholders, lead social value initiatives, and support business development activities and proposals. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social value work within a consultancy or client organisation.
• Knowledge of Public Sector Services Act 2012, and related guidance (PPN 001/002).
• Experience writing social value tender submissions and supporting work-winning activities.
• Engagement with partners/stakeholders to develop social value outcomes.
• Strong data analysis, management and presentation skills; Excel proficiency; familiarity with Social Value Portal TOMs and THRIVE would be advantageous.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, including leading meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead/support social value across multiple infrastructure projects.
• Create social value action plans and coordinate initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate performance against targets.
• Produce client-ready social value reports.
• Manage client relationships and third-party contractors as needed.
• Provide guidance to enhance social value delivery and share best practices.
• Support work-winning opportunities and proposal preparation.
