Locum Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - High Pay, Flexible Contract in East Midlands!

Are you a Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding locum role in the East Midlands? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

* Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

* Location: East Midlands

* Duration: 6 months

* Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday

* Start Date: ASAP

* End Date: 6 months from start date (extension possible)

* Rate of Pay: Competitive, high hourly rate

What You'll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist and play a key role in supporting adults with complex needs in a community/local authority setting. In this role, you will:

* Perform comprehensive assessments of need with clients of various disabilities

* Create and implement personalised care and adaptation plans

* Deliver evidence-based interventions, including major adaptations and specialist equipment provision

* Complete DFG applications and manual handling assessments

* Collaborate effectively with multi-agency professionals to ensure holistic care

* Maintain accurate and timely records on electronic social care systems

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A current and valid HCPC registration

* Substantial local authority experience

* Proven expertise in assessing for major adaptations and DFG applications

* Strong skills in manual handling techniques and equipment assessments

* Familiarity with Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) systems

* Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills

* The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This full-time role requires availability Monday to Friday. The contract is for an initial 6 months, with strong potential for extension based on service needs and performance.
