Overview

Academics are searching for a Social Sciences teacher for one of our well-established schools in Wakefield. In previous OFSTED reports the school have been praised for having an extensive programme of training to lead and teach the curriculum in their subjects.

Responsibilities
  • Covering all aspects of Social Sciences including Sociology, Psychology, and Geography, across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Supervising student’s behaviour and referring to the school's behaviour management policy if required
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
  • Following the schools safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe environment for the students
Qualifications & qualities
  • Experience teaching Social Sciences up to A-Level, particularly Psychology.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for making an impact on students' lives
  • A relevant degree related to Social Sciences accompanied with a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
