Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Social Science Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a high-achieving and supportive school?

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Social Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Derby from September. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

  • Salary: Competitive, paid to scale (MPS/UPS)

We are looking for a specialist Social Science Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, or Health & Social Care. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering curiosity, discussion, and academic excellence across Key Stages 4 and 5.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, Social Sciences)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE

  • Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level (including PGCE placements for ECTs)
