Social Personal Assistant

Location: Walkergate, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: £13.00 per hour

Joshua is a lovely 12-year-old boy with Autism, learning difficulties, and a chromosome disorder.

He enjoys spending time at home with his siblings, playing with animals, and using his iPad. Joshua seeks a personal assistant to support him in exploring community facilities and social activities, such as local parks and swimming pools. He also enjoys walking dogs, so a good level of fitness is necessary. Occasionally, he likes to go for hot chocolates.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with children with Autism, being calm, patient, and encouraging. Joshua's behaviors and words are often repetitive, so patience and understanding are essential. Assistance with toileting is required.

A driver is preferred as Joshua has a Motability car and enjoys outings in it.
