We are currently recruiting for an experienced personal assistant for a 14-year-old young gentleman with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Type 1 Diabetes. The main tasks within this role will include supporting Freddy in accessing the local community, accompanying and supporting him to engage in his chosen activities which will include accessing local railways and metro systems as he loves watching the trains and enjoys a metro or bus ride.
Freddy enjoys time alone within the home where he will enjoy watching YouTube and snacking on the limited foods he enjoys, Freddy can lose interest in food simply by visual appearance or smell so he will need to be involved in food choices and be able to use his food calculator app to calculate nutritional value for his Diabetes and Insulin measures.
