A leading company in the financial services sector is seeking a Social Media Manager to enhance its online presence and manage PR efforts. This part-time role offers flexibility in hours, with a focus on creative social media postings and media relations. Ideal candidates will have strong writing skills, experience in communications, and a good understanding of digital tools. The Client
Established in 2013, our client compiles a number of widely acclaimed guides in the financial services sector. Theyprovide data and information on UK quoted companies and their advisers, with information widely quoted in the national press and on numerous company websites. Their real-time and historic data is used by corporate advisers, auditors, brokers, financial advisers, law firms and registrars.
They are seeking a social media manager for their growing company. This role will be responsible for social media postings and PR across the full mix.
The Role:
To deliver creative and engaging social media postings across all main financial orientated channels.
Writing and circulating press releases for the three Rankings Guides. Managing relationships with press contacts and undertaking media monitoring.
Research and inputting data from news press releases in relation to corporate advisers and their peer group Quoted client rankings.
Proof-reading of PDF’s prior to publication and checking the accuracy of our data.
Requirements:
The role requires excellent organisation and communication skills, self-motivation and a bias towards execution. Other skills and qualities are likely to include:
Excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to develop and communicate innovative ideas with a commercial focus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and a good knowledge of Excel.
Desktop publishing skills, and particularly Adobe InDesign.
Experience in administration skills with an excellent eye for detail. Flexible and highly focused.
A good understanding of the Internet as a business tool.
