Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Is the world of social media your happy place? Are you obsessed with crafting content that captivates and goes viral? If your creativity is ignited by the latest social media trends, and you’re ready to build a career around your passion, then UniHomes want you!

We’re looking for a dynamic and professional Marketing Executive with a passion for all things social and digital to join our high-energy Brand Activation team. Whilst reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Brand Activation you’ll be at the heart of shaping our brand’s identity, crafting compelling and original content that resonates with our student audience, and driving awareness for UniHomes as the ultimate student accommodation platform.

Your role will involve developing and executing a strategy that aligns with our wider Marketing goals, to ensure our brand leverages awareness amongst our key demographics. Through your strong organisational skills, you will build out our social media content strategy to positively promote our brand’s personality, and our student housing and utilities offering, in the form of digital activations to drive traffic to our website and generate leads.

You will create and maintain a strong brand identity across our social media pages, whilst generating competitions, promotions and weekly features which resonate with our audience. Your content strategy will coincide with generating content for social search, alongside wider campaign initiatives and blogs, which operate under the B2C Marketing function. In addition, you will closely collaborate with the Ambassador Program Executive, to successfully orchestrate and promote content produced by our nationwide network of brand ambassadors. You will utilise their content across our social channels to ensure UniHomes are both relevant, and in tune with the typical university student’s experience.

This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team that’s redefining industry standards. If you’re ready to take on a challenge and make a real impact, this is the opportunity for you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategically create and schedule engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X, maintaining a consistent brand aesthetic and incorporating trending topics to boost audience interaction
  • Drive the growth and performance of all social media platforms, providing monthly reports with key insights and actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and present new ideas for the marketing mix, backed by research and feedback
  • Conduct in-depth competitor analysis and market research, leveraging data to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decisions
  • Proactively monitor current trends and topical events relevant to and popular with our audience, identifying opportunities for timely content
  • Continuously maintain and utilise the website's blog section, ensuring the timely promotion of relevant content across social media channels during key periods
  • Drive brand awareness and engagement by actively networking at student-focused events across key regional cities
  • Provide comprehensive social media support for all internal and external events, capturing and creating engaging content
  • Manage customer interactions across all review platforms and social media channels, handling inquiries promptly and professionally

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Marketing Assistant role or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in marketing principles
  • Exceptional creativity coupled with strong content writing and graphic design abilities
  • Superior command of grammar and style, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to critically review and refine content and copy
  • Highly adaptable and versatile, with proven ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving acumen, taking full ownership of tasks and meticulously implementing feedback to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Disciplined time management and organisational skills, consistently meeting deadlines and managing workflows efficiently
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual who takes direction well while also demonstrating strong initiative
  • Proven experience within the student market, coupled with acute commercial awareness and understanding of audience dynamics
  • Proficiency in content creation and editing tools, specifically TikTok, CapCut, and Canva
