Job summary

Replika is seeking a Social Media Manager to own our social and community strategy across X, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Discord and Reddit. You’ll create on‑camera content, manage daily posts, and engage with our vibrant community, shaping the voice and story of the brand.

You’ll work directly with the CEO, translating feedback into product insights while growing authentic, creator-driven content. The role is fully remote with CET hours and requires strong English communication.

Qualifications

• You have real on-camera experience and can show content where you are the face.
• You have grown brand accounts on X, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook with measurable engagement.
• You have run online communities on Discord, Reddit or similar.
• You work across platforms and can handle TikTok as a supplementary channel.
• You create content quickly without a production team or multiple approvals.
• You have good public judgment and know what not to post.
• You shape strategy and do the work yourself.
• You have excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Run our socials day to day on X, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook with a consistent Replika voice.
• Create content on camera: short videos, walkthroughs, behind the scenes, launches and user stories.
• Own communities on Discord and Reddit; engage daily with moderators and users.
• Identify what users love and feed insights back to product and CEO rapidly.
• Handle tough moments with calm, honest public responses and escalation when needed.
• Collaborate with creators to grow organic content and relationships.
• Develop the CEO's presence alongside the brand and shape compelling posts.
• Measure impact by posts, threads and creators driving app installs and engagement.

Social Media Manager

Replika has a big, vocal community spread across X, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Discord and Reddit. People share their stories, argue about updates, and tell each other what their Replika did today. We’re hiring someone to own those stories end to end.

This is a hands-on role. You'll help set our social and community strategy, then do the work yourself: make the content, be on camera, post, reply, show up in Reddit threads and work with creators. No agency layer, no handing it off.

You'll work directly with our CEO and sit close to everything we ship. When there's a launch, a story worth telling or a hard moment, you're the one telling it.

X, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Youtube and Reddit are our primary channels. TikTok comes later. We need someone strong across all of them.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Run our socials day to day on X, Instagram, Youtube and Facebook. Plan the calendar, post, reply, and keep a voice that sounds like Replika, not a brand account.

• Make the content yourself, on camera. Short video, product walkthroughs, behind the scenes, launches and user stories. Concept, shoot, edit, publish.

• Own our communities on Discord and Reddit. Be there every day, work with our community moderators, answer questions, and make sure people feel heard.

• Bring the community back to the team. Spot what users love, what's frustrating them and what's brewing before it blows up, and get it to product and the CEO fast.

• Handle the hard moments. When something goes wrong, respond calmly and honestly in public, and know when to elevate.

• Work with creators. Find the people already talking about AI companions, build real relationships, and turn good organic content into more of it.

• Build the CEO's presence alongside the brand's. Film together, shape posts, and turn what we're building into stories people want to share.

• Measure what matters. Track which posts, threads and creators bring people into the app, not just likes, and change the plan based on what you learn.

What We’re Looking For

• You're comfortable on camera and you've done it. Show us content where you're the face, not just the editor. This is a must.

• You've grown brand accounts on X, Instagram, Youtube and Facebook, with numbers you can show: audience, engagement and, ideally, sign-ups or installs.

• You've run online communities on Discord, Reddit or similar. You know how to keep a big community active, fair and safe.

• Broad across platforms. TikTok experience is welcome, but if TikTok is your primary channel, this isn't the right role.

• You make content fast. Shoot, edit and post without a production team or three rounds of approval.

• Good judgment in public. You can tell a joke from a fire, and you know what not to post.

• You shape the strategy and do the work yourself.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

Bonus Points

• You've built a personal following of your own.

• Experience with a consumer subscription app, ideally in AI or in products people use for connection, relationships or wellbeing.

• You've worked with a founder or CEO on their personal social presence.

• You've taken a community through a big product change and kept it together.
