Today, Decanter reaches over 660,000 wine lovers every month from 99 countries around the globe via print and digital editions, Decanter magazine, and popular social media channels. Decanter provides authoritative content, independent advice, and inspirational events and competitions, such as the highly respected Decanter World Wine Awards.

What you'll be doing...

As the Social Media Manager for Decanter, you will oversee all social media activity across platforms, including editorial (print and online), events, sales, and awards.

You will collaborate closely with Decanter product editors and the Premium, Events, and Awards Marketing Managers to plan and execute the daily social media operations of the brand. Maintaining consistency in brand tone, image, and style across all platforms, you will create innovative and engaging content, expanding Decanter's reach to new audiences. A strong social media experience across all platforms and expertise in developing attention-grabbing, thumb-stopping content are essential. A keen interest in wine and the ability to repurpose content for social media are also required. Experience with paid campaigns is preferable.

Experience that'll put you ahead of the curve...

  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful social strategies, including growth tactics, customer retention, engagement, and content creation.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing successful organic and paid campaigns and content creation tailored for various social channels.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives from different perspectives.
  • Strong skills in designing, creating, and implementing content for multiple social media platforms, including video content, to engage audiences and drive brand awareness.
  • A hands-on approach with high attention to detail, capable of working accurately under tight deadlines with flexibility.
  • Experience with social analytics tools and campaign dashboards such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Looker Studio.
  • Creative flair combined with deep social media knowledge to generate innovative ideas.

The expected salary range is £26,000 - £38,000.

This is a hybrid role based in our London office, working three days in the office and two from home.
