What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of all social media initiatives for AG Barr's iconic portfolio, including IRN-BRU, Rubicon, KA and Barr ’ll be instrumental in defining and delivering impactful social content strategies, ensuring a strong, results-driven online presence maximizing our brand impact. This role requires a deep understanding of core audiences to strategise resonant content, lead creation, oversee community, and drive measurable ROI, ideal for a visionary leader passionate about shaping AG Barr's digital marketing future.

As our Social Media Manager you will…

  • Define and drive the overarching social content strategy across all platforms, ensuring brand alignment and audience relevance. Oversee all aspects of content ideation, production, and for some brands agency management for high-impact campaigns.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategies for community growth and influencer partnerships, leveraging audience insights and establishing clear TOV guidelines for strategic impact.
  • Lead strategic performance analysis, defining KPIs, translating data into actionable insights for digital and business strategies. Oversee paid social optimization for conversion and ROI, including competitor analysis.
  • Strategically manage and optimise social media budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and measurable ROI.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Brand Marketing and internal stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment to strategy. Cultivate high-performance relationships with external agencies for successful campaign execution.

What you’ll bring…

  • Proven experience in social media, including direct content creation, ideally within FMCG. Highly desirable to have 2+ years in broader marketing roles.
  • Platform & Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing day-to-day social activity across multiple platforms, utilising scheduling tools (, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics tools (, Google Analytics, TikTok, Facebook Insights).
  • Creative & Content Production: Strong skills in creating engaging multimedia content , including video editing and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Video Editor, and Canva. Excellent copywriting and editing skills for diverse platforms.
  • Performance & Analytics: Strong analytical skills to interpret trends and apply insights to social strategies, optimise content for engagement , and analyse competitor activity.
  • A self-starter mindset—able to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for building brands and creating memorable consumer experiences!
  • Passion and care for audiences of today and tomorrow - including gen-z
  • Deep understanding of various social media platforms, content strategies, and community engagement tactics relevant to FMCG brands.
  • Knowledge and experience in collaborating with content creators and managing influencer seeding.
  • Knowledge and understanding of algorithms, including paid advertising
  • Tech advances that can fuel future efficiencies, including AI and ML.
