About

This is a great time to join Thames Water as our Social Media Manager, where you'll be responsible for optimising our social media presence on multiple fronts.

You'll drive our content strategy to new heights, working closely with our Content Designer to make our content emotive, purposeful and of real value to our customers, and you'll do this by using insights gained from social listening and analytics to help support and develop the Content Strategy.

What you’ll be doing as a Social Media Manager

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content strategy that aligns with the overall social strategy and brand and marketing goals. Work closely with our Customer Ops teams to ensure comments are being responded to in a timely and professional manner. Manage and report on social listening activity. Using insights gained to sculpt future content strategies. Work closely with Brand and Marketing, Comms, and Web teams to ensure content aligns with broader brand strategies and objectives. Collaborate on content planning and campaign execution to maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms. Maintain and develop an Always-On social content calendar Collaboration with cross-functional teams. Base location – Hybrid Clear Water Court Reading.

Working pattern – 36 hours, Monday to Friday.

What You Should Bring To The Role Essential

Extensive experience in a Social Media Manager role. Proficiency in social media platforms and tools. Excellent stakeholder management. Community / Customer Response Management. Content Calendar Management. Strong analytical skills to measure the success of social activity. Proficiency with Social Management Tools such as Sprinklr. Creative thinking and adaptability.Desirable

Advocacy / Influencer experience. Adaptability to platform-specific features: stay up-to-date with changes and new features across social and understand how to leverage these to engage users in creative and relevant ways. Passion for storytelling. What’s in it for you?

Competitive salary from £40,000 to £46,000 per annum, depending on experience. Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service.
