Social Media Manager – Viral-First Thinking for a Playful EdTech Brand

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week (09:00–18:00)

Start: ASAP (flexible for notice periods)

Contract: Permanent / Full-Time (Hybrid) 3 days WFH

Culture Guru is proud to be hiring for a fast-growing, creative learning company that’s redefining how children engage with words through games, humour, and wildly original storytelling.

They're looking for a hands-on, data-savvy Social Media Manager who knows how to make content move - literally. You’ll be the bridge between playful creativity and sharp strategy, building communities, growing reach, and sparking engagement that actually converts.

This role is for someone who lives and breathes content — especially video — and thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where bold ideas are celebrated and backed with insights.

Responsibilities of the role, but not limited to;

  • Creating scroll-stopping, video-led content using tools like Canva, CapCut, Opus, and AI
  • Owning the brand’s presence across Meta, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and (eventually) Pinterest
  • Using Hootsuite not just for scheduling, but for deep analytics and social listening
  • Building and managing community conversations with parents, educators, and creators
  • Collaborating with TikTok & Paid Media Managers for aligned growth strategies
  • Managing and scaling influencer/affiliate partnerships (Reddit experience = bonus!)
  • Proactively pitching ideas and campaigns that challenge the norm and drive results
  • Reporting on metrics weekly – connecting the dots between creativity and performance

  • 4+ years in social media with proven results in scaling brand awareness and engagement
  • Strong video instincts – you know what makes content go viral and how to edit it fast
  • Confident using AI tools to generate creative assets and speed up production
  • Understands the power of friction – you don’t fear pushback if your ideas are rooted in strategy
  • Curious, trend-obsessed, and always ready to test something new
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain why content works – or why it didn’t
  • A “build it, try it, learn from it” mindset – you move with energy and purpose
