Job Description

As Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for crafting engaging content for our Meta, X, YouTube, LinkedIn and Pinterest digital platforms. A particular emphasis on video content creation, using AI tools ( Canva, Capcut, Opus ) to create a multitude of attractive videos. You’ll work alongside our TikTok and paid Ads manager, leveraging each other. Your role will include analysing trends with our social listening tool embedded in Hootsuite, collaborating with the marketing team to create posts around events, product launches, etc.

You will be in charge of developing our engagement on our social media, managing comments, and developing our teachers and parent communities on those platforms.

You will be in charge of developing our existing influencers and affiliates platforms to increase our reach and boost sales.

A large part of the job will be the creation of UGC and video content, leveraging relationships with users as well as influencers.

Responsibilities
Content Calendar and Post Management

Create and plan content calendars for social media. Conceptualise, design, and schedule posts across all platforms.

Support Marketing Team

Support the marketing team in developing and producing social media campaigns to generate brand awareness and product sales. Contribute to business and brand growth by adhering to strategies and schedules.

Visual and Graphic Design

Design memorable and fun posts with users in mind, maintaining excellent graphic and visual branding across all digital platforms. Uphold consistent and considered use of typography, illustration, and graphic elements. Maintain a fresh approach to creative projects and awareness of visual trends. Refine and evolve the brand’s visual identity according to brand and business needs.

Copywriting and Content Generation

Use Perplexity, ChatGPT and Hootsuite AI to generate and refine copy for social media captions,. Develop and edit copy for images produced to ensure clarity and engagement. Maintain a consistent and engaging tone of voice across all digital platforms.

Tone of Voice Management

Maintain brand voice in all digital content. Ensure consistency in messaging and tone across social media. Regularly review and update content to align with the evolving brand voice and company objectives.

Manage Communities & Influencers

You will be responsible to leverage communities on social media to spread the word about Mrs Wordsmith’s mission and products, while dealing with influencers directly or via our platforms (Club, Creators, Social Snowball…) to make sure they have the right messaging and assets to talk about us on their channels.

Role Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of social media management experience, with a proven track record of growing and engaging audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or the work experience to match).
  • Community Engagement: Demonstrated ability to create and nurture online communities, particularly those involving parents, educators, and children.
  • Educational Content: Experience in creating and managing social media content for educational products or services is highly desirable.
  • Platform Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of social media platform algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Hootsuite Expertise: Proficiency in using Hootsuite (or similar platforms) for social media management, content creation, and analytics.
  • Audience Understanding: Deep understanding of the needs, interests, and communication preferences of parents, educators, and children in the context of educational products.
  • Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including writers, illustrators, community managers, and video producers.
  • Video and AI Familiarity: Experience with video content creation and familiarity with AI-generated content (Canva, Opus, CapCut…)
  • Experience with Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.
  • Strong copywriting skills, with an excellent understanding of tone of voice and ability to adapt writing style for different platforms.
  • Experience in managing and developing brand voice guidelines across multiple digital platforms.
  • Experience with ClickUp (our project management tool) is a big plus.
