The Role :

We are searching for a growth-driven Social Media Manager who will take our digital presence to the next level. This role is for someone who already knows what works, has a proven track record in social media growth, and can implement strategies to expand our following and engagement exponentially.

You will be responsible for developing and executing a best-in-class content strategy, running our social media calendar, and ensuring Ultra Football leads the football conversation online. You won’t be running paid ads (our digital marketing team handles that), but you will be the mastermind behind organic social growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a clear growth strategy to rapidly scale our social following and engagement.
  • Implement proven tactics to increase our audience, drive interactions, and boost visibility across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Analyse best practices and identify opportunities to dominate the football social space in Australia.
  • Ensure all brand partner needs are serviced through our channels.
  • Stay on top of emerging trends, formats, and platform updates to keep Ultra Football ahead of the curve.

Content Planning & Execution :

  • Own and manage the social media calendar, ensuring content is timely, on-brand, and aligned with product launches, events, and marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with the creative team to brief and curate best-in-class visual and video content that drives engagement.
  • Lead the creation and publishing of daily social content, ensuring a consistent and high-quality brand presence.

Engagement & Community Building :

  • Actively engage with our community, responding to comments, DMs, and mentions to foster brand loyalty and connection.
  • Create and amplify football moments that spark conversation—whether it’s reacting to live games, jumping on trends, or tapping into fan culture.
  • Build relationships with key influencers, creators, and football personalities to enhance reach and credibility.

Performance Tracking & Insights :

  • Own and track key social media KPIs, including audience growth, engagement rates, reach, and share of voice.
  • Report on what’s working, what’s not, and how we pivot—using data to drive content and strategy decisions.
  • Continuously test new content formats and tactics to push engagement boundaries.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • 3+ years experience in social media management, content strategy, or digital marketing, preferably within sports, fashion, or culture brands.
  • Proven track record of growing social media accounts significantly—show us examples of what you’ve done before.
  • Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills—you know how to make captions engaging and on-brand.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and performance tracking.
  • Passion for football culture, the game, and its global impact.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, reactive environment where football drives the conversation.
