Have you got a passion for social media, exceptional content creation skills and an eye for spotting the next big trend? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Exec to take responsibility for all aspects of social media across our core brand channels.

You’ll have experience in capturing and creating stand-out content that will engage our core audiences and set us apart from competitors.

We need someone who can take the initiative, identifying opportunities and moving fast in the dynamic world of social media.

You’ll be a team player, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.

THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for bringing the Village Hotels brand to life across our social channels, championing best practice across our hotels and driving revenue opportunities through our social platforms. That involves…

  • Working across all of our brand social platforms, currently that includes Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Managing all aspects of social media delivery - from content creation, to campaign planning, execution and tracking.
  • Capturing and developing content, including creating and editing videos for use on our social channels.
  • Become the brand guardian of social media at Village Hotels, supporting hotel teams in their management of their local facebook accounts, and ensuring brand consistency in terms of messaging and content style.
  • Identifying and engaging influencers and brand ambassadors to support campaign activity.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure all social media plans across organic and paid channels reflect our wider marketing objectives and provide continuity with other marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager to support the delivery of key brand partnerships and associated content capturing responsibilities.
  • Develop and demonstrate a commercial mindset in order to contribute to the management of our paid social media accounts, primarily Meta Ads.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on social media performance to the marketing team as well as wider internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively recommend new and innovative ways Village Hotels can continue to take advantage of existing and any new social platforms for continued brand reach and growth.

The Skills

  • 1-2+ years of experience in a similar or equivalent social media-based marketing role, with responsibility for creating and delivering successful social media campaigns.
  • Strong team player, with a proactive attitude, an enthusiastic personality and an ability to engage with personnel at varying levels of seniority within the business.
  • Experience of using a social media management tool such as Hootsuite or similar.
  • Excellent social content writing and proofing skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, confident and a self-starter.
  • Willingness to operate in a potentially fast moving,dynamic environment with the ability to prioritise based on business objectives.
  • Clear understanding of complaints management on social media.
  • Experience of writing with creative briefs for asset design with a designer or agency
  • Desired but not essential: Experience in management of a paid media budget on social media.
  • Desired but not essential: Experience of delivering voice over style TikToks and/or on-camera presenting.
  • Desired but not essential: Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications or social media.

THE LOCATION

This role is a hybrid position combining a mix of office and home-based working commitments with an expectation for occasional travel to some of our UK hotels in order to capture relevant content, attend team meetings and support on branded partnerships and activities.

A Typical Working Week Would Consist Of

  • Two days in our Warrington Head Office
  • Three days working from home or in a hotel location.
