Totter + Tumble is hiring: Social Media Executive | Remote | 20 hours per week

Totter + Tumble is a rapidly growing + inclusive company with delightfully big ambitions and the best cheerleaders – our customers. Our founder Susie had the idea for our much-loved playmats whilst looking for a playmat that did not compromise on her home style, on her children’s safety, or on her time. No one needs to look after a playmat at the end of the day.

Totter + Tumble is now operating in the UK, United States, Europe, as well as in the UAE. Our small, parent-run team of 14 has achieved so much, and now we are looking to what comes next and who wants to join us.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone creative and enthusiastic to join the Totter + Tumble marketing team, with a focus on social media and community engagement. You’ll play a key role in creating and sharing content across our social channels, bringing the brand to life and helping us grow an active and engaged community.

This role is ideal for someone who loves content, has a head full of trending and original ideas, and is keen to learn. You’ll work closely with a small, supportive team and have the opportunity to make a real impact, developing your skills in social media strategy, content creation and audience engagement.

Who is this role for?

You’re probably someone who’s always on Instagram or TikTok, spotting trends and thinking about how brands show up online. You enjoy coming up with creative, engaging ideas that spark conversation and build connection. You’ll need to be organised, proactive and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Being able to manage your time well, communicate clearly, and stay curious is essential, especially in a flexible, remote working environment.

Role responsibilities

This is a great opportunity for someone creative, proactive and social media-savvy to support the day-to-day delivery of Totter + Tumble’s social media to keep our communities buzzing with engagement. You’ll be hands-on across a variety of tasks, with the chance to contribute ideas that shape how our brand connects with our audience online.

  • Execute the social media strategy - deliver the holistic strategy from brand awareness campaigns to collection launch and seasonal promotions.
  • Channel management – from creating and scheduling posts to ensuring all content is timely, on-brand and aligned with wider campaign plans across several social media channels.
  • Visual content leader - from lo-fi Reels, behind the scenes TikToks or curated carousels for Instagram, you’ll demonstrate a strong understanding for diverse content styles for different channels.
  • TikTok growth - help grow our presence on TikTok by spotting trends, contributing original ideas and creating fun, engaging content that feels fresh and brand-relevant.
  • App Integration + management - optimise and leverage a range of platforms to improve our strategy delivery; from planning, scheduling, communication and content editing.
  • Community engagement - actively engage with our online community by replying to comments, messages and mentions to build relationships and keep the conversation going, with followers, brand champions, creators and brand friends.
  • Graphic design support - creation of visual content using Canva and our brand guidelines across social, email, blog and other marketing channels
  • Assist on photoshoots - from prepping products and props to capturing behind-the-scenes footage and content.
  • On the pulse - stay up to date with social trends, platform updates and competitor activity to feed into team discussions and planning
  • Part of the team - work closely with the wider marketing team to support campaign rollouts and day-to-day activity and be ready to jump in where needed – whether that’s creating a quick Instagram Story, helping pack props for a shoot, or testing out new content ideas.

About You:

  • Be an excellent communicator and team player, able to adapt and be nimble.
  • Be self-motivated, able to prioritise and work independently.
  • A good understanding of the Baby and Parent retail market would be beneficial.
  • Canva, Meta and TikTok experience is desirable.
  • Generally be part of our team! We are a small business and work together to be the best we can be. This could mean anything from assisting on photoshoots, getting stuck into creating graphics, assisting at events or just generally lending a hand.

Terms + Conditions:

  • Salary: to be discussed depending on experience, within the range £26-£29k FTE.
  • Attendance: Your work will be mainly remote with regular in-person meetings and content shoot days based in London. This could be subject to change.
  • Flexible working practices: part-time 20 hours per week (onboarding during core hours)
  • Hours could increase as role develops.
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 working days and bank holidays, pro rata.
  • Additional Pension contributions above statutory regulations.
