Join the vibrant and constantly changing world of pubs and bars as we’re looking for a creative, proactive and plugged-in Social Media Executive to support the planning, creation and execution of engaging social media content.

The Social Media Executive will play a key role in promoting website content, growing an engaged audience and building a strong presence across our social channels. The role will focus on delivering commercial value by creating content that supports event sponsors and digital partners in a meaningful and measurable way.

What you’ll be doing:

• Planning and collaborating about our content calendar
• Coming up with creative ideas and content with our wider team
• Engaging with our communities across a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
• Jumping into trending discussions and helping our channels stay relevant and reactive
• Scheduling and publishing content that’s designed to perform
• Covering live events, snapping behind-the-scenes moments and helping make the unforgettable online
• Tracking stats, spotting trends and turning insights into ideas
• Collaborating with editorial and events teams to ensure everything is aligned and exciting
• Diving into the trade first hand, visiting operators to flag and gather content when out and about
• Help to judge for the UK’s largest pub awards – the Great British Pub Awards and the Publican Awards

Requirements

What you’ll need:

• Ability to analyse data, extract insights and make data-driven decisions
• Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g. Sprout, Buffer, Hootsuite)
• Strong creative thinking and ability to produce engaging, on-brand content
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills for managing multiple projects
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• An understanding of social media trends and best practices
• Experience with social media advertising, particularly for paid campaigns would be desirable but is not essential
