About this role: Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking a creative, multi-skilled and well organised social media professional to report into the Club Social Media Manager and undertake a key role in the club media team.

The successful candidate will support with the running of the club social media output across multiple channels, alongside the Social Media Manager, to help meet the club objectives of engaging and growing its global fan base as well as meeting the club commercial targets.

This role will work closely with the Social Media Manager to deliver the day-to-day social publishing. This focuses on maximising matchday output, supporting club marketing goals, and delivering value to club partners and scheduling in key dates and celebrations.

The role will also support the club wider content objectives, working with the club editorial and video team to create high-quality club content that appeals to both the club engaged audience and wider sporting audiences. The role will also take a leading role on the creation of vertical, social-first, content tailored to TikTok and reels and in line with current social trends.

As a member of the wider Marketing department they will also be tasked with shaping and delivering effective social media campaigns for club departments and external partners. This includes Retail, Ticketing, Memberships, Commercial Partnerships and Premium Hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of all CPFC social media platforms, including weekly scheduling and longer-term planning, strong copy writing, creating and delivering content, briefing graphics / video
  • Be required to work every matchday (home and away) to maximise the club matchday output
  • Supporting the video and production team to edit imagery and video content to be used on social platforms
  • Supporting the club Social Media Manager to deliver the club social media strategy as platforms and the business evolves
  • Devising and delivering new content strands and campaigns in line with club objectives
  • Keep up to date a weekly schedule to ensure key milestones, campaigns and commercial partners obligations are delivered across social media
  • Explore and demonstrate fan engagement to ensure two-way communication with supporters
  • Reporting on the success of club / partner campaign performance across all social media platforms
  • Upholding and promoting the Club policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures


Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

  • Experience working for a Social Media team in the sports industry, including both publishing experiences and content creation
  • A clear understanding of the club current social media output, current social trends and extensive knowledge of the Premier League
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, and who understands the importance of tone of voice
  • Basic video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro/CapCut)
  • Basic image editing skills (Adobe Photoshop)
  • A willingness to work out-of-hours and weekends (ie. matchdays) as well as willingness to be flexible and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship management, someone who can build and maintain positive working relationships, with all colleagues, including players and football management
  • A creative, confident, passionate individual, a storyteller,who works well in teams but can also work independently to create and deliver new content strands
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and matchdays as required


Desirable

  • Experience in capturing vertical content & editing to fit different platforms
  • Experience creating digital assets, in line with club templates
  • Experience working with talent
