We’re looking for a creative and organised Social Media Executive to join our Marketing team to support our Social Media Manager with executing the Group Social Media Strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in automotive social media who is eager to get involved in planning, creating, and posting engaging content across various platforms while supporting our dealerships with managing their local social media presence.

You’ll be working for one of the UK’s top automotive retailers, representing some of the best car brands in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by driving engagement, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and enhancing brand awareness.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Support the Social Media Manager with executing the Group Social Media Strategy encompassing multiple pages across various brands (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok)
  2. Monitor and respond to incoming comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
  3. Adapt tone of voice and adhere to brand guidelines for various brands
  4. Support the Marketing Managers and all dealers with captivating campaigns and content
  5. Mentor and coach dealers on optimising and utilising their local social channels
  6. Strategically plan, edit, and publish engaging content across all respective platforms
  7. Manage a communications calendar, outlining key dates for teams to focus on
  8. Work within a small team to deliver a brand-building content plan
  9. Collaborate with the in-house design team to create engaging content utilising imagery and video
  10. Attend dealer and group events to post live on social media
  11. Manage all Group 1 pages through our social media management tool, Hootsuite
  12. Monitor trends, conversations, and competitor activity to keep our approach fresh and relevant.
  13. Engage with the automotive community and influencers to build relationships
  14. Define key metrics to report on how our content is being received and deliver consumer insights
  15. Reporting on social media campaign performance via monthly and quarterly reports
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in Social Media, with a good understanding of Facebook and Instagram (we will also consider applicants who have built experience and knowledge through personal social presence)
  2. Familiarity with Hootsuite or similar social media management platforms
  3. Full UK Driving Licence
  4. Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills with attention to detail and strong ability to meet strict deadlines
  5. Confidence to deliver social media best practice training in person and over Microsoft Teams
  6. Self-motivation with a 'can do’ attitude towards operating within a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritising
  7. Knowledge of the latest social media platforms and trends
  8. Great interpersonal skills to work closely with our marketing, studio, and communications team
  9. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  10. Photography & videography skills with the ability to create engaging, high-quality Instagram Reels
  11. Basic design/editing skills are an advantage
  12. Meta Business Suite experience (desirable, not essential)
  13. Passion for cars and the automotive industry is a plus
  14. A relevant qualification would be beneficial but not essential
