Position: Social Media Editor

TATLER is seeking a creative and dynamic Social Media Editor to join its editorial team during an exciting period of digital growth. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong social media knowledge and an interest in digital trends. Reporting to Tatler’s Digital Director, you will implement social media strategies to drive growth and manage daily operations across all social channels, aligning with Tatler’s editorial vision.

The successful candidate will bring innovative ideas to enhance our digital presence, craft engaging social media content, and maintain Tatler’s sophisticated tone. A keen eye for aesthetic imagery and understanding of our audience—interested in society, politics, fashion, beauty, and culture—is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Write, edit, and optimize social media posts across platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  2. Stay updated on new social media developments and trends.
  3. Collaborate with senior editorial staff on social media strategy, bridging print and digital content.
  4. Oversee social media coverage of print issues, including cover reveals and related content.
  5. Compile performance reports and monitor engagement for key events and moments.
  6. Maintain and update the social media calendar.
  7. Develop video content and support digital franchise ideas.
  8. Address platform changes and challenges with the digital team to sustain engagement.
  9. Occasionally produce short news stories and create/edit videos for social channels.
Candidate Profile
  1. Extensive experience in social media with a proven growth record.
  2. Proficiency in platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok.
  3. Strong analytical understanding of audience behavior.
  4. Passion for social media, digital platforms, and industry influencers.
  5. Skills in Photoshop and content management systems.
  6. Basic video editing and filming skills are advantageous.
  7. Team player willing to work flexible hours.
  8. Understanding of Tatler’s brand and tone.
  9. Experience with scheduling and analytics tools such as Dash Hudson, SocialFlow, CrowdTangle, Google Analytics is a plus.
  10. Knowledge of SEO is beneficial.
