Your Role

Gensler’s London office is seeking a creative, motivated, trend-setting, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Social Media & Digital Communications Coordinator. You will work closely with the Marketing & Communications team and the Firmwide Social Media team to create, write, and identify compelling stories. Your responsibilities will include managing the region's social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram), contributing to the firm's global platforms (LinkedIn, Gensler On Blog), and executing digital communications initiatives and photography coordination. You will collaboratively develop and execute social media programs to enhance Gensler’s visibility and shape our reputation through projects, people, thought leadership, and campaigns.

This role requires a highly creative and organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, comfortable engaging with individuals at all levels. The ideal candidate should stay current with social media trends, learn and apply best practices, and guide colleagues accordingly. A passion for social media, digital trends, and creating/editing videos for social media is essential.

What You Will Do

Social Media

  • Coordinate and curate creative assets for social media channels, utilizing available content and collaborating with internal teams to build followers, increase visibility, and drive engagement.
  • Create, copy-edit, and post content for Gensler’s official channels on Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Optimize leadership’s social media channels.
  • Edit and design impactful content, including graphics and short videos.
  • Stay ahead of trends and develop campaigns that resonate.
  • Attend key events and conferences to capture real-time content.
  • Develop strategies and posting calendars tailored to each platform’s audience, using scheduling tools.
  • Analyze social media performance and refine campaigns accordingly.
  • Train and coach staff on social media best practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices.

Communications

  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and email campaigns.
  • Build, test, and schedule campaigns, monitoring engagement metrics.
  • Understand Gensler’s portfolio, practice areas, and firm capabilities.
  • Maintain resources and information systems.
  • Collaborate on award submissions with MarComms and design teams.
  • Support marketing team projects and event planning.

Photography

  • Identify projects suitable for photography in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Handle contracts, client releases, and photographer agreements.
  • Maintain a database of freelance photographers.
  • Coordinate communication between photographers, design teams, and clients.
  • Attend photoshoots as needed.
  • Assist with staging and prop placement during shoots.
  • Coordinate licensing and usage rights for images.
  • Manage invoicing and work with accounting on payments.

Your Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of social media/communications experience, with an interest in architecture and design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and editing suites like Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.
  • Photography and videography experience is a plus.
  • Excellent content creation, communication, and copywriting skills.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Professional, friendly, proactive, and team-oriented demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
