Your Role

Gensler’sLondon office is seeking a creative, motivated, trend setting and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Social Media & Digital Communications Coordinator. You will work closely with the Marketing & Communications team and the Firmwide Social Media team to create, write and identify compelling stories and manage the region's social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram), contribute towards the firm's global social media platforms (LinkedIn, Gensler On Blog), as well as execute digital communications initiatives and photography coordination. You will work collaboratively to develop and execute social media programs that will drive Gensler’s visibility and shape our reputation in the region through our projects, people, thought leadership and campaigns.

This job requires a highly creative and organised individual with exceptional attention to detail who is comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals across all levels. The ideal candidate needs to stay up to date on the latest social trends within the community and learn best practices and guide co-workers on these best practices. You will have a passion for all things social media, digital trends and a keen interest in creating & editing video for social media.

What You Will Do

Social Media

  • Co-ordinate and curate creative asset creation for social media channels utilising available content and in collaboration within house teams in dynamic and exciting ways to build followers, enhance visibility, and drive engagement.
  • Work with multiple teams and stakeholders to create, copy-edit, and post social media content for Gensler’s official channels on Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Optimise leadership’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
  • Edit and design content that makes an impact, from high-quality graphics to engaging short-form videos.
  • Stay ahead of trends and translate them into campaigns that resonate.
  • Work flexibly and attend key events & conferences to capture content in real time.
  • Develop strategies and plan posting calendars tailored to each social channel’s audience using scheduling tools to effectively grow the brand's social media presence.
  • Analyse social media performance to test and continuously and effectively improve campaigns.
  • Training and coaching of staff on social media platforms.
  • Stay up to date with trends, tools, and best practices.

Communications

  • Email marketing including newsletters and email campaigns.
  • Build, test, and schedule campaigns while monitoring engagement metrics.
  • Understanding and learning Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and Firmwide capabilities.
  • Maintaining resources & information systems.
  • Collaborate with MarComms and design teams to prepare and submit award content.
  • Working closely with marketing team members to complete special projects, elevate the quality of our efforts, and plan events.

Photography

  • Work with the Regional Marketing & Communications Director, local marketing and PR teams, and Design Directors to identify projects ready for photography.
  • Secure necessary contracts including client release forms and photographer contracts.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and database of our roster of freelance photographers.
  • Facilitate ongoing clear communication between the photography team, the design team, and the client.
  • Attend photoshoots, as needed.
  • Work with the photographer and design directors to facilitate the staging of each shot, including placement of models and props.
  • Contact vendors and other partners to offer finished photography for license.
  • Issue invoices, usage rights, and other documentation, and work with accounting staff to receive and process payments.

Your Qualifications

  • At least 2-4 years of social media/ communications experience. Interest in architecture and design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media for business: Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere or similar editing suite proficiency preferred.
  • Demonstratable photography and videographer experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills to produce amazing content across all social platforms.
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible in fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong time management and coordination skills. Ability to organise and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Professional demeanour and a friendly, flexible, proactive team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate within and across teams at all levels
