Social Media Content Manager, Grow London Local - London

Purpose of role: This role is responsible for content delivery for Grow London Local and our small business audiences. The Social Media Content Manager will create bespoke, unique content that inspires audiences, communicates our brand messages, reflects London’s diversity, and showcases our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily operations of Grow London Local social media channels, including scheduling content and community management.
  2. Create static and video content, including copywriting, for social media channels such as Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  3. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to source, create, film, and edit video content.
  4. Manage filming briefs, create storyboards, and write scripts where needed.
  5. Oversee the production and delivery of freelance content creators, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  6. Manage social media assets within L&P’s DAM system.
  7. Coordinate social media equipment and ensure all content has appropriate permissions and releases.
  8. Work with content, design, and communications teams to align on insights, messaging, and measurement.
  9. Contribute to content planning, strategy, and ideation sessions.
  10. Maintain engaging community interactions and monitor trending topics for content opportunities.
  11. Perform other tasks as assigned by line manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in creating social media content for B2B and B2C brands.
  • Excellent copywriting, videography, and editing skills.
  • Self-motivated with adaptability to social media trends.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok.
  • Experience with social media advertising and community management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of crisis communication protocols.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
